Industry Ministry enterprises sign $99m worth of contracts at forum of regions in Zhitomir
Enterprises run by the Belarusian Industry Ministry signed contracts on delivering a total of $98.83 million worth of machines, vehicles, and equipment during the 2nd Forum of Regions of Belarus and Ukraine in Zhitomir, the ministry's press service told BelTA.
Companies like MTZ, BelAZ, Mogilevliftmash, MAZ, and BMZ signed export contracts with partners from Ukraine. Memorandums and agreements on cooperation in manufacturing sector were also signed.
The 1st Forum of Regions of Belarus and Ukraine took place in Gomel on 25-26 October 2018. During that forum Industry Ministry enterprises sold $73.5 million worth of machines, vehicles, and equipment.
An exhibition of Belarusian machines, vehicles, and equipment was open as part of the forum in Zhitomir. Visitors and participants of the forum had an opportunity to examine products made by Amkodor, MTZ, Bobruiskagromash, Gomselmash, MAZ, MMZ, BelAZ, and BMZ. The exposition featured over 30 harvesters, loaders, tractors, dump trucks, engines, and agricultural attachments.
In January-July 2019 Industry Ministry enterprises sold $190 million worth of products to Ukraine. The main exports were BelAZ mining vehicles and parts, MTZ tractors and tractor assembly kits, MAZ automobiles, MMZ engines and parts, Mogilevliftmash lifts, metal products from the steel mill BMZ, and Atlant refrigerators and washing machines.
