Baler PRP-160

PRP-160 baler with a variable compression chamber is designed for picking up hay of natural and sown herbs, prewilted grass, straw, with mass chopping if necessary, compressing them into round bales with subsequent winding with a grid or twine. The baler has two models: PRP-160 - without grinding the picked up mass, PRP-160 -1 - with grinding the picked up mass.

The baler is a semi-trailer machine, consists of a variable compression chamber, drawbar hitch, the base of the chamber with two wheels, a pick up mechanism, a combined compressing mechanism, mechanical and hydraulic drives of the working tools, a press mechanism and electrical equipment. Behind the baler there is a rotary mass feeder. The baler is equipped with an information management system that provides control over the required bale diameter, automatic or manual control of the winding mechanism, opening and closing the rear chamber, counting the number of bales.

The use of a belt compressing mechanism ensures the formation of high density bales of various diameters from 100 to 160 cm with a bale length 120 cm, in accordance with the consumer’s wishes, depending on the existing conditions (the availability of appropriate lifting and transport machines in the technological process). The increased density of the bales reduces transport costs and requires less storage space.

The baler PRP-160-1 is equipped with grinding machine with 12 knives, which can be turned off when unnecessary.

Advantages of round baler PRP-160

• Due to the increase in the width of the pick-up mechanism to 1.9 m, picking-up of wider windrows is ensured;

• A passive compression roller with a grid installed in front of the baler ensures a steady supply of the mass to the baler and allows to get more steady bale density;

• Reducing the distance between the picking tools from 88 mm (PR-F-145) to 54 mm allows to reduce losses during picking-up of hay or straw;

• The use of a belt compressing mechanism allows to work on prewilted grass;

• The use of a combined mechanism for bales winding provides a consumer with possibility to work with a grid or twine depending on actual operating conditions;

• Grid winding increases the productivity of the baler;

• The bales winded with a grid have the correct cylindrical shape, they are convenient for transportation, they are less susceptible to atmospheric precipitation and are better preserved.
